Chapter 41 Summary: “He Knew It, Too”

Adam asks “Bree” if she has been avoiding him. Kristina says she has been at the bowling alley with her father. Adam touches her seductively and asks her if they can talk.

Chapter 42 Summary: “His Mom Was at Work”

Adam has the apartment to himself as his mother is at work. Kristina and Adam hang out in his living room, where he smokes a cigarette. Kristina tries a drag for the first time in her life.
